Your safety is our business
Rider safety has always been our number one priority. The Newlane Helmet has been certified to EN1078 - The European Safety Standard.
We've been developing The Newlane Helmet for the past 6 years and had a team of specialist design engineers from around the world. They ensured every part of the helmets design is as robust as possible.
We have chosen to manufacture the helmet in the UK to ensure precision and that the helmet is of the highest quality.
How the helmet is tested
To pass the EN 1078 standard helmets are impacted on anvils that mimic cycling accidents. The helmets are tested at the front, back, sides and crown.
When impacted, the helmets must not allow a force of over 250g to reach the head - 'g' is the amount of gravity the earth exerts on you when you fall. The Newlane Helmets average impact result is 134g which is well below the standards set.
The helmet is tested at -20 and +50 degrees to ensure protection in all environments.
