Measuring your head
To ensure your head size will fit our medium/large helmet (56-61cm) take a measuring tape, place it about an inch above your eyebrows and wrap the tape around your head.
If you don't have a tape to hand, take a piece of string or a charging cable, measure the length using the same process and then measure it against a ruler. You can also print this ruler here if you don't have one.
The average UK head size for a man is 58cm and 56cm for a woman. The Newlane Helmet currently fits heads between 56-61cm, which is a medium/large size.
How to get the perfect fit
Once unpacked, place the helmet on your head. Then push it down ensuring it’s level, about 1-2 cm above your eyebrows. It is important the helmet doesn’t tilt forwards or backwards.
Use the back adjuster to complete the fit. Turn the disc around the rear reflector clockwise to tighten or anti-clockwise to loosen.
The Newlane Helmet should feel snug yet comfortable.
Tighten the chin strap ensuring the ‘Y’ where the straps separate fits just below your ears. The Fidlock buckle should be fastened under your chin. The straps should be secure without feeling too tight.
