Do Lime bikes come with a helmet?

No. Lime doesn't supply helmets with its bikes, so you need to carry your own. 

Do you have to wear a helmet on a Lime bike in the UK?

There's no legal requirement to wear a cycle helmet in the UK, including on e-bikes. The Highway Code recommends wearing one.

Will it fit in my bag?

Yes. It folds to 81mm high, about half the height of a regular helmet, so it fits most backpacks, work bags and totes.

Which size do I need?

Medium fits 56–60cm and large fits 61–63cm. Measure around your head about 2cm above your eyebrows. The average UK head is 58cm for men and 56cm for women. Size guide

Is a foldable helmet as safe as a normal one?

Newlane is certified to EN 1078, the same European standard rigid cycle helmets meet. In impact tests it averages 134G against a 250G pass limit. There's also a Mips version for extra protection in angled impacts.

Can I buy one as a gift?

Yes. If the size isn't right, unused helmets can be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original packaging.
